Grant Evaluation

The grant will be evaluated by the Findings Group, which will collect and analyze all data needed. As part of this grant, individual teachers and students, lesson plans, and artifacts that are created by students will not be evaluated. However, the expected outcomes and goals of the grant will be the framework for all teachers and student activities.

As part of the grant, the Findings Group will most likely use the following methods to gather data:

• Teacher / Student interviews

• Teacher / Student surveys

• Academic, attendance, and other pertinent records as agreed upon between  the district and the Findings Group.

No personal information will be published and all student surveys will be approved by designated district personnel prior to use.

OUTCOMES

In this grant, the following outcomes are expected:
• Instructional change with the inclusion of iPads and video conferencing,

• Increase in problem-solving, communication, and self-management skills,

• Increase in student engagement,

• Increase in student perception that science isuseful and relevant,

• Increase in student interest in science, and

• Increase in student achievement.
