Curriculum Connections
7th Grade - Life Science pdf
• S7L4. Students will examine the dependence of organisms on one
another and their environments
• S7L5. Students will examine the evolution of living organisms through inherited characteristics that promote survival of organisms and the survival of successive generations of their offspring.

9-12th Grade - Life Science
Oceanography pdf
• SO2. Students will relate how the oceans are integral to all life on Earth and how biogeochemical processes in the oceans influence the entire planet.
• SO5. Students will analyze how the unique attributes of seawater deter mine the types of marine organisms and the ecology of marine food webs.

Earth Systems pdf
• SES6. Students will explain how life on Earth responds to and shapes
Earth systems.
Biology pdf
• SB5. Students will evaluate the role of natural selection in the development of the theory of evolution.
• SB4. Students will assess the dependence of all organisms on one another and the flow of energy and matter within their ecosystems.
